Chelsea won against its counterpart, Preston North, 4-0, in the match that brought them together at Stamford Bridge in the third round of FA Cup.
The first half witnessed both teams trying to reach the net amid Chelsea’s attempts to clear Preston’s net, but the half ended goalless. In the second half, Armando Broja scored the first goal for Chelsea in the 58th minute, then Thiago Silva added the second goal in the 66th minute for the Blues.
In the 69th minute, Raheem Sterling completed the hat-trick, after perfectly executing a free kick from outside the penalty area. Then, Enzo Fernando succeeded in making his mark during the evening by scoring the fourth goal for his team in the 85th minute of the match, after he followed a ball inside the penalty area, and thus Chelsea qualified. He will advance to the fourth round and will know his opponent next Monday.
