Barcelona turned the tables on its host, Unionestas Salamanca, and defeated it 3-1, on Thursday evening, as part of the round of 16 competitions for the Spanish King’s Cup.
The home team scored with a goal by Alvaro Gomez in the 32nd minute, and Ferran Torres equalized for the Catalan team in the 45th minute, ending the first half in a 1-1 draw.
Barcelona turned the tables on its opponent in the second half, with French defender Jules Koundé adding the second goal with a long-range shot in the 69th minute.
Then left-back Alejandro Balde penetrated the Salamanca penalty area and shot strongly into the net, scoring the third goal in the 73rd minute.
With this victory, Barcelona overcame the shock of losing to Real Madrid 1-4 last Sunday evening in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in the Spanish Super Cup final.
