Saint-Germain beats Toulouse and wins the French Super Cup

Paris Saint-Germain won the French Super Cup for the 12th time in its history, following a 2-0 victory over Toulouse on Wednesday.

At the Parc des Princes stadium, the stronghold of Paris Saint-Germain, the French capital team opened the scoring through its young South Korean player Kang In Lee in the third minute.
Star Kylian Mbappé scored the second goal for Paris Saint-Germain in the 44th minute, continuing to score for Spanish coach Luis Enrique’s team for the third consecutive match in various competitions.

Mbappe raised his scoring tally with Saint-Germain this season to 22 goals during the 23 matches he played with the team in all tournaments, while providing two decisive passes to his teammates.
This comes in light of the avalanche of speculation regarding the future of the French national team captain with Saint-Germain, as he now has the right to officially leave the team at the end of the current season and join the ranks of Spanish Real Madrid, which has expressed interest more than once in including him.
Saint-Germain participated in the French Super Cup for the 17th time in its history, after winning the local league title last season, while Toulouse recorded its second appearance in the competition, after winning the French Cup last season as well, following its sweeping 5-1 victory over Nantes in the final match.
